Blade is a slot based on a fictional superhero vampire hunter in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by writer Marv Wolfman and penciller Gene Colan, his first appearance was in the comic book The Tomb of Dracula #10 (July 1973) as a supporting character.
Blade went on to star or co-star in several comic book series as well as a film and television series. Actor Wesley Snipes portrayed the vampire hunter throughout the film series while Kirk Jones took on the role for the TV series.
As part of its massive widening of the Marvel Comics slots line, Playtech has also offered up Blade, who is represented herein by a kinda sorta vaguely Snipes-looking guy, and damned if the evil female bloodsucker doesn’t look good, bloody fangs et al. The game itself is a smooth play along the lines of other Playtech releases such as Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk.
Interestingly, on Blade’s reels are the “Blade Split” symbols. When one of these bad boys lands in reel five, the symbol functions as two different symbols at once and thus – you guessed – two payouts.
Blade, like its compatriot game X-Men, contains a random progressive jackpot. This gives an opportunity to play for thousands of times the bet in a pick ‘em-type game. Four jackpots are possible and once three like symbols are chosen in the pick ‘em, one big, bigger, massive or huge jackpot is yours.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste.
