With a crossed theme of sci-fi and underwater exploration, this 5-reel 25-payliner, The Greatest Odyssey is loosley based on an accidental discovery of Atlantis.

Greatest Odyssey

Most of what would ordinarily be fruit symbols, and even more disturbingly, often the freaking A-K-Q-J-10 runs, are alien letters – a nice touch that more designers would do well to follow. We raise our snorkels to Playtech.

Greatest Odyssey takes you on a classic undersea adventure in the best tradition of Jules Verne who wrote, Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea. Game makers love this 19th-century French writer, who also happened to give us Around the World in 80 Days, sometimes known as Around the World in Five Reels, or Gulliver’s Travels.

With Greatest Odyssey, the reels are awash with intrepid explorers and arcane symbols. Once again the cartoon hand-drawn style adds a fun element and there are some great extra features to make this pub fruity an exciting choice.

Landing three of those purple-haired Atlantis babes gets players into what is herein called – get this – “The Bonus Round.” Apparently, you’ve discovered an underwater laboratory in Atlantis staffed by our heroine (love those retro platform-soled shoes, baby) and get to take home three pieces of alien technology. Nice.

Try another alien adventure with, A Stitch in Time, where players ride a time machine (H.G. Wells, not Jules Verne) into the future where there is extra-terrestrial life to discover.
